What happens if no one is in when you try to deliver?

If no one is in when we try to deliver we see if any of the neighbours will take the flowers and put a card through the recipients door letting them know where the flowers are so that they can get them as soon as they get home. If no neighbours are available we will put a card through the door letting them know that we have taken the flowers back to the shop so they can call and rearrange delivery for when they are in.

If you have a telephone number for the recipient it is always worth giving it to us at point of order as if there is any difficulty with the delivery we can contact them direct and they are more likely to get their flower on the day.

When will my flowers get delivered?

Normal delivery time is anytime between 9am - 5.30pm just because an address is close to the shop does not necessarily mean it will definitely get delivered in the morning. Many factors can affect this we may have lots of guaranteed delivery orders on that morning or we may be waiting for a fresh flower delivery before your flowers can be made. If you must have you flower by a certain time ask for one of our enhanced delivery services, if you would just like it by a certain time but not imperative ask us and we will always do our best we will just not be able to guarantee.

Flowers and Flower Care

How long will my flowers last?

The longevity of flowers varies on the type of flowers and the care they receive. However all our flower are backed by or 7 day freshness guarantee and we will gladly exchange them for you if they do not live up to this expectation. Many of our customers tell us our flowers last much longer than this and that flowers from us last much longer than when they get them from other florists.  We attribute this to a high stock turnover and buying where we can directly from the grower meaning our flowers spend much less time in transit and these extra days get added onto your vase life.

What is the best way to care for my flower to ensure they last the longest?

Make sure your vase has been thoroughly washed before filling ¾ with clean water.  Do not use a metallic container. Add the flower food provided, following the instructions on the packet.  Remove any wrapping from the flowers (but leave tie in place) and remove any foliage that will be below the water level before cutting (at and angle) about 2cms off the bottom of the stems.

Display your flowers in a cool location away from draughts ripening fruit, direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators or fires as these will all prematurely age your flowers.  Top up water daily and remove any fading flowers.  Every 2-3 days re-cut the stems and replace in fresh water.

What if I am not happy with the flowers I receive?

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your flower delivery please do get in touch as quickly as possible and we will do everything we can to resolve it so that you are a happy customer.  Due to the perishable nature of the product we are unable to refund or replace flowers older than 7 days.

Will my flowers look like the picture?

Flowers are a natural product and as such vary in colour, shape and quality depending on variety of conditions. Because of this fact we can never say the bouquet or arrangement will look exactly like the picture as no two will ever be the same. However the picture is a guide for you and should give a fair representation of the colours and types of flowers you will receive. As flowers are seasonal to give you the very best we occasionally may have to make substitutes If this has a major effect on the look of the design we will contact you to agree the change before delivery.

How do you look after an aqua packed bouquet it a box? - Left in box transferred to vase

Whilst for longevity it is always better to unpack an aqua packed bouquet and transfer to vase there are times when this is simply not possible. In this instance the best way to care for your flowers is to keep an eye on the water level and top up when necessary using the flower food provided. Remove any faded flowers as soon as possible (as the ethelyne gas that decaying flower gives off ages others flowers quicker) To remove get cut the stem from the top as close to the tying point as possible.

How do you look after a flower arrangement done in Floral foam or Oasis?

If you receive flowers arranged in floral foam or oasis you do not need to do anything straight away. In 2-3 days time mix water into a jug the flower food provided, following the instructions on the packet. Take the arrangement to the sink and poor the water slowly onto the foam as close as you can to the arrangement (you may not use all the flower food solution). If the arrangement has a back it is usually easier to do this from the back as there is less flowers and foliage there. Top up water every couple of days and remove any fading flowers.

How far in advance do I need to deliver Funeral Flowers?

Funeral flower are usually delivered to the Funeral Directors or the Deceased’s home.
